Raise Lezanne, an amnesiac symbologist taken in by the King and Queen of the Drake Kingdom. Shunel Vector, a traveling monster hunter from the Land of Hoarfrost. A chance meeting between the two sends them off on an incredible journey to the very fringes of their planet, hoping to unlock the lost secrets of Raise's past along with an invaluable group of partners gathered along the way - Zerian Overdrive, a faithful soldier at the forefront of the Drake Kingdom's army; Viel Sylpheed, a woman knight from the neighboring Crest Kingdom who weaves swordsmanship with symbology; Emie Kasalin, a flirtatious, hard-hitting fist fighter who seems to have some sort of history with Zecross; Pyrite Mirage, a promising young symbologist first encountered in the underground prison of the Seeleth Ruins; and Diem Ravis, a mysterious three-eyed archer whose arrows - and suspicions - never miss their mark. On their travels, they will clash repeatedly with the blindly devoted Sylar Convert Silveria and the not-quite-human Sacred Heart, and eventually meet the one person that holds all of the pieces to Raise's figurative puzzle - the mysterious Crescent Riser, who wields magical strength not of this world...
